I am a HUGE Gilmore Girls fan and I created this vintage travel poster as a discreet way to show my love for the fictional town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut. Even though I’ve never lived in Stars Hollow, this poster feels like “home” to me, and I hope it feels that way to other fans, too! I actually showed this version, along with a RED version, to a very passionate Gilmore Girls fan club on Facebook, and I had an overwhelming number of votes for the BLUE version, though I must say, the RED version “pops” more, and lends itself to a more retro print look.
This artwork is meant to be discreet so to the outside eye, it looks like a vintage travel poster from yesteryear, but I had to add little touches here and there, such as a sign for LUKE’S and of course, the famous Gazebo, Church & Dragonfly Inn.

You can now purchase it on my official website, WindowShopGal. After the feedback I received on Facebook from my fellow GG fans, I am having a large quantity of blue posters printed. However, since some people feel strongly about the red version, I decided to offer it as well, but it will be a special order. :)

If I could go to Stars Hollow would definitely go to Luke’s! Then some Westons pie in the gazebo! I’m a long time fan. Gilmore Girls has gotten me through so much! Moving into a new house soon and would love this for my kitchen!!
I love Stars Hollow because it’s the sort of town that every little girl wished she grew up in. It hardens back to days of yesteryear with storefronts and personalities from another time yet they are quick witted.
Shared on Facebook! I love the slower pace of stars hollow and how close knit everyone is. The characters are what add to the charm and appeal!
I love stars hollow because the people are so quirky. I wish I could actually visit and go to Al’s pancake world…then Luke’s of course. I’d stay at the inn.
I love Gilmore girls! Its such a great town and I always thought it’d be cool to live there, if it was real lol. I love how everyone knows each other and gets along :) shared on fb!
Stars Hollow just seems like home. Friendly and sometimes a little quirky buy always full of love.
Shared on Facebook!! I love everything it’s the perfect small town with its own interesting people. I love Luke’s and the town meetings.if it was real and affordable I would move!! I’d love to really explore the town and see all of the places not shown on the show.
I love Stars Hollow because of the people, Jackson, The Town Trubador, Luke, Kirk, Mrs. Kim, and of course Lorelei and Rory, such a great place to live
This is absolutely beautiful! You’re extremely talented, this must have taken a lot of time and effort to get everything scaled properly, and add in all the important and necessary little details. I wish I had a Facebook so I could share it and show everyone how awesome it is! At least I can comment here and Reddit to let you know. :) I hope you continue creating wonderful art relating to so many people’s favorite world. Gilmore Girls and Stars Hollow have been there for me when nothing else was.
I started watching this show when I was 12 and am now in my 20’s. I watched this show when I was sick or lonely or just when I needed to escape from real life. The town of Stars Hollow made me feel happy. The warmth of the people all over the town was enticing. I wanted to drink coffee on Danish Day with Lorelai and Roy at Luke’s, go to all the silly little festivals, enter the bid-a-basket, eat in the gazebo, go to town meetings, eat rum balls and sugar cookies at Weston’s, etc. The town of Stars Hollow was one of my home away from homes and still is.
I have been a fan of this show for as long as I can remember. All throughout elementary school I would come home and watch an episode a day on ABC Family and actually drove my parents crazy watching and rewatching the series nonstop. Still today, I scarcely go a day without watching at least one episode (Netflix has made it much easier now– even though I FINALLY invested in the DVD collection just a month before they announced it was coming to Netflix *shrug*). This show, and the town of Stars Hollow as always been an escape for me and tribulations of my own every day life, and I will be eternally grateful for Amy Sherman-Palladino and the cast and crew for giving that to me.
I’ll be completely honest, I was planning on buying this poster anyway, but winning it would be extra special. It’s really a beautiful piece of art and I’m blown away by the detail you put in to it! Bravo!
This is amazing!! I’m the same age as Rory, so I literally grew up with her. Would love to add this poster to my collection!
I would just love to sit at the gazebo and people watch! See what crazy antics Taylor and Kirk were up to!
What’s not to love about Stars Hollow? It legitimately looks like something straight out of a fairy tale. With it’s sense of community, everyone coming together for town events and festivals, twinkling fairy lights hanging from trees, I’ve just always loved this place, to the point that when I was Eleven (i’m 21 now) I tried looking up where the “real” Stars Hollow was located or at least which small town they shot the show in, in hopes of maybe visiting it one day or even living there, only to find out the show was shot on a WB backlot. My little heart was broken. Dark clouds formed above my head. There may have even been tears. But that didn’t ruin the magic or derail the absolute love I have for the fictional town, or the warm feeling I get whenever I watch an episode where Lorelai and Rory are walking through the town square, coffee in hands, autumn leaves falling every which way, Kirk running around in the background. I’d love to have this poster not only because it’s beautiful and extremely creative, but because of the fact that when I look at this poster I feel the same sense of magic that I do when I see the town on my t.v. screen. Also, after being a fan for so many years, i’d love to finally have something hanging on my wall to show my absolute love for the series and Amy Sherman-Palladino’s wonderfully charming fictional world.
OH MY GOODNESS this is AMAZING! My mother and I watched Gilmore Girls together when I was in high school. When I went to college, we used to have phone dates watching it together. It always always reminds me of my amazing Mom, and of our special relationship :)
Thanks for hosting this giveaway! Gilmore Girls is seriously what got me through high school. I laughed, I cried and I grew up with this show.
My best friend and I were obsessed with Gilmore Girls in high school (and still are)! It became a Saturday ritual to meet up with our coffee and watch it together! Now ten years later it still inspires me. :)
Stars hallow has the most terribly awesome historical street names! That’s why I love it!
I love Stars Hollow because it has the small town charm I love in such an exaggerated way that it makes for hilarious television. Plus I want to stay at all the inns! Including the Cheshire Cat, not truly in Stars Hollow of course. And I don’t win I will be purchasing a red poster!
I love Stars Hollow because it boasts 12 stores devoted entirely to peddling porcelain unicorns. Plus everything you buy there has a Hello Kitty stamp on the bottom.
Who wouldn’t want to be there for one of their festivals?
I an 32 yrs old now. Gilmore Girls got me through so much, from my parents divorcing to having issues in school. Stars Hollow has always held a special place in my heart, even though its a fictional town. The atmosphere and the people always gave me hope that everything would be okay in my life.
I love everything about Stars Hollow! The people, the cuteness of the town… everything!
Adorable posters! I love how quirky Stars Hollow is, and instantly recognizable. SO often now I’ll be watching another TV show or movie and suddenly go – HEY, that’s Stars Hollow! I’ve also gotten to do the WB studio tour, and the biggest highlight was getting my picture in front of Luke’s Diner. :D
I LOVE STARS HOLLOW SO MUCH GILMORE GIRLS IS EVERYTHING TO ME!
I love Stars Hollow because it reminds me of my own hometown–full of quirky characters and everyone knows your name. It makes me feel at home!
I would give this to my mom as a thank you gift for living with my family and helping us take care of our newborn twin girls. We used to watch Gilmore Girls together when it aired, and now that she’s here, we’ve been watching it again every evening. I’m pretty sure my daughters will have the theme song memorized. I love the poster, and she would, too!
What I love about Stars Hollow is the amazing people who live there. There has never been a town full of more interesting, weird people! Taylor Doose, Miss Patty, Babette, Ms. Kim, Kirk…I want to be neighbors with all of them!
I love Stars Hollow because it reminds me a bit of the small towns in my home state (but just a bit cooler). It’s the ideal place – close to big cities, full of great people and lots of food!
I love Stars Hollow because it reminds me of where I grew up, right down to Ms. Patty (We had a Ms. Pat, and she was a hair dresser, but she knew EVERYTHING!)! Plus, who doesn’t love Kirk?
I love Stars Hollow for the snappy dialogue, the warm hearts, and the emphasis on a solid education!
Stars Hollow is a special place for my mom and me. We share a LOVE for Gilmore Girls. She’s the Lorelai to my Rory. May be cheesy, but that’s how we interact. With everything my mom’s been through I’d love to give her this poster. We’ve even visited the set at Warner Bros and she flipped out! It was a dream come true for her. Stars Hollow will always be our escape. We’ve laughed and we’ve cried with the town of Stars Hollow. Thanks for reading.
I love Stars Hollow soooooo muuuuuchhhh! Mostly I love the crazy events they put on. Look at me talking in present tense all hopeful and such. So excited to find your blog too!
I love Stars Hallow because “If someone opened a store in this town selling giant butterfly nets, they’d make a fortune.” Season 5, Episode 17- “Pulp Fiction”
This is amazing!!! I love Stars Hollow because it hasn’t been infected by smartphones and people looking at their screens instead of connecting with each other. What I would give to live there!!
These are fantastic! I agree with you about the red. I originally said my favorite thing about stars hollow is Al’s Pancake World, even though we never see it. But I was having a hard time choosing between that and the firelight festival. All the festivals at the square with the gazebo are so beautiful, and that one in season 1 (which I just re watched–again) is so sweet and solidifying of Luke and Lorelai even from the beginning. So much love. So Stars Hollow. “The stars, so bright, this forest, hollow…”
I LOVE Stars Hollow and am obsessed with Gilmore Girls (“And I love Jesus!”) I’ve been watching it since 7th grade and recently got my roommate obsessed with the Gilmore Girl clan and we have been looking for artwork to hang in our apartment and this is perfect!! This is the show that inspired me to live in a small town and also inspired my need for speedy, quirking conversations.
Four of the friends I made at ATX and I each bought one! It’ll go great in my bedroom (I chose the blue one) and I love that we’ll have the same souvenir of our time together at ATX!
I am such a big fan of the Gilmore girls tv show. Finding a town like stars hollow means so much . I use to think it was myself just having my own little dream. Its become something bigger then that I realized. I would love for it to be my future. I just don’t know where to start .
